Numbers behind our people

Elizabeth Hart-Gryskiewicz

8000
Elizabeth traveled more than 8000 miles from her native Bear County, Texas to join her first husband at Mildenhall Air Force Base in the United Kingdom.

Elizabeth spent four years working for the Department of Defense as an accounting technician. She says numbers are even more fun when you’re dealing with multiple currencies and five entities in a foreign land.

34
Elizabeth was introduced to automated systems in the early 80’s when she received specialized training on an IBM System 34 in Berlin. The server was the size of a large filing cabinet and the bottom drawer held the backup disk. She says it is amazing to think about the evolution of backup disks – they have gone from huge to miniscule during her time working with systems.

1963

She has a need for speed ever since she drove her first car, a 1963 Chevy Impala. She has had a total of 16 cars so far, and they are all fast.

90/90

Elizabeth says she was sold on her current car as soon as she heard it could take a 90 degree turn at 90 miles an hour. She has been busy trying to prove that theory ever since.

Elizabeth is one of five children, and one of two residing in California. Her other siblings remain in their native Texas. We bet there are some heated discussions over sports and food choices at family gatherings.

Elizabeth is active in the Stanislaus East Republican Women’s club and has held 2 leadership roles so far –president and treasurer. She has also been chairperson of their convention that included more than 200 women.

Elizabeth is an avid horsewoman. Over the years, she has regularly ridden 5 different mounts at her friend’s nearby ranch but “Whiplash” is her favorite. We’re starting to notice a trend here – fast cars and fast horses.

200

She has a unique collection of antique salts that she has gathered over the years. She has more than 200 of the tiny dishes but her favorite is hand blown glass made by an artist in Stockton.

All of that salt might contribute to her daily habit of drinking at least 8 glasses of water as she talks with an average of 8 clients a day.
They have a very caring environment here. They care about clients as much as staff. It is very apparent when you sit in on a staff meeting.
