Galen was a 17 year-old junior when he taught his first bookkeeping class in high school. He enjoyed the class so much his teacher asked him to take over and teach for a couple of hours. |

Galen was considering two job offers when he graduated from California State Stanislaus – one from the IRS and one from Dunker & Aced where he had been interning during tax season. We’re glad he decided to accept the one from Dunker & Aced (which joined Grimbleby Coleman in 2008). |

Galen met his wife in 1978 while the two were studying for the CPA exam. She passed the exam in one sitting. |

Galen is a huge Giants fan and watches or listens to about 150 games a year. |

He misses 12 games a year because he is out of the country indulging in one of his other hobbies, travel. |

Galen has personal knowledge that cruise ships are not meant to weather 70 mph winds in a storm, after taking a cruise to the Mediterranean last year. |

When he’s not busy hiking or fishing, Galen can be found on one of 2 bicycles, a mountain bike or a street bike. |

We’re not sure when Galen finds the time to watch one of the 4 televisions he has at home. He says he has them strategically placed so he can walk from room to room and never miss a play when he’s watching a Giant’s game. |

Galen got his first introduction to tax planning when he helped his brother with his contract to play baseball for the St. Louis Cardinals organization in 1976. |

Galen spends one day a week working out of the firm’s Oakdale office working on tax and related matters. |

Galen enjoys visiting museums - including his 4 local favorites in San Francisco. According to Galen, nothing beats the Metropolitan Museum in New York City. He's a big fan of their baseball card collection. |
