CPA Earns Exclusive Accredited in Business Valuation Credential
Modesto, California, February 10, 2012- Grimbleby Coleman CPAs, Inc., an accounting and business advisory firm headquartered in Modesto, California, is proud to announce that CPA and business valuation expert, Martin Fox, has recently been awarded the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) Credential by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), making him one of only a handful in Modesto to earn such a credential.
Those who earn the ABV designation must be a member in good standing of the AICPA, hold a CPA certificate or license, demonstrate extensive experience in business valuation, pass a rigorous exam, and demonstrate a history of life-long education.
Business valuation is a complex process requiring broad knowledge in accounting, finance, economics, and business. Marty, who is also a Certified Valuation Analyst, has been conducting business valuations with Grimbleby Coleman for several years, especially in the areas of buy/sell agreements, estate and gift tax planning, successions, mergers and acquisitions, and S corporation conversions. With his new certification, Marty hopes to expand Grimbleby Coleman’s valuation services and better assist businesses within the San Joaquin Valley area.
Marty, a CPA since 1981, has been with Grimbleby Coleman since 2003, where he is in charge of consulting and valuation services. He enjoys helping clients build and sustain value in their businesses, whether it’s through a financial revelation, strategic opportunity, or an operational insight.
